Guest Speaker Jim Key, 2003 World Champion Public Speaking

Keynote Address - Hitting the Mark: The Quest for Excellence
Would you like to know how to be more successful in your personal pursuit of excellence? Having high and focused expectations, along with goal-oriented “stick-tuitiveness” are part of the answer. For more, join Jim Key, the 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking, as he shares the rewarding lessons about excellence he learned on his journey to the championship; lessons that apply to you. (Includes his Championship presentation, "Never Too Late".)

Evening Reception - Speaking and Leadership Lessons to Laugh About
Speaking and Leadership… two hot-button issues today. If you want to learn about them in a dry and boring way, this session is not for you! It is, however, if you want to laugh and have a great time, while also learning principles that can lead you to greater levels of success. Join Jim Key, the 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking, as he tickles your funny-bone, and drops a wealth of speaking and leadership knowledge on you. You’ll never look at either the same way again.

Positive Leadership: Leading People in a Positive Direction in Smooth and Turbulent Times
Lucy Freedman Founder - CEO Syntax for Change, Author

Your choice of words and your timing make the difference between having everyone on board vs. people jumping ship or running aground. Whether you are in an official leadership position, or simply want to make a positive contribution in your personal and professional life, this workshop is for you.

Join us for a hands-on leadership lab where we increase awareness of specific actions you can take to keep your team, group, association, or company on the right track. Learn to notice and manage the focus and mood of a conversation so that the best results can emerge. You’ll have the opportunity to set your own priorities and aspirations as well.

If you’ve ever wanted to find a “fast track” to rapidly improving your speaking abilities, this session is for you! Jim shares the principles he learned about speaking excellence which led to a rapid improvement in his speaking skills, and to becoming the 2003 World Champion of Public Speaking.

How to interview for the job you want ... and get it!
Richard Bannin ACS, ALB - Executive Presentation Coach, Speaker

As Toastmasters, we know that public speaking is routinely at the top of the “Most Feared Experiences” list. And what follows closely behind? Job interviews. Small wonder – interviews are the most extreme form of table topics we’ll ever engage in! This workshop, delivered by a professional business communications trainer, will give you specific techniques to help you impress the interviewer with concise responses, finesse challenging questions, and highlight your qualifications and achievements.

Learn how Toastmasters puts you ahead of other candidates, how to maximize your confidence through superior preparation, the 5 hardest questions you'll ever have to answer and much more.
